Multi-Turn Conversations Using QnA Maker

A couple of weeks ago during the North American Collaboration Summit Virtual Event, I presented a session on getting started with bots using QnA Maker. From that session, several people had questions about the multi-turn capabilities of QnA Maker. I didn’t have time to cover it in my session so I thought I’d do a quick video to help people get started with multi-turn conversations.

I also walk you through some steps if you are having problems getting your prompts extracted properly from existing FAQ’s. You can download the sample FAQ for multi-turn extraction that I used in the video here.

In the video I don’t walk through creating the Azure Service or Publishing the bot to Teams. You can find those steps in my previous post on QnA Maker found here:

One final note, if you are using Power Automate to connect to QnA Maker you’ll find that the prompts for multi-turn conversations are not returned in the Power Automate Action for QnA Maker (as of the writing of this blog post anyway).
