Body:
Okay… now that I have a moment to catch my breath… I’m very happy to announce that I’ve joined forces with the awesome folks over at Summit 7 Systems as a Solutions Architect.
I’ve held the guys at Summit 7 in high esteem ever since they hired Lori Gowin away from me a few years ago and have bantered back and forth for some time about working for them, however the timing just never seemed to work out. Finally the pieces fell in place and I made the leap.
I’m impressed with the breadth of expertise and services offered at Summit 7 and definitely look forward to having a larger team to help spread out the workload a little bit. What services does Summit 7 offer?? I’m so glad you asked!
As you can see, it’s a pretty comprehensive offering of services. I look forward to being able to provide true end-to-end services to all my customers.
Cut to the chase.. how does this affect “you”
Sorry, I forget.. this is about you.. not me… Well.. first off I’ll be able to get my hands dirty more often writing code. This will most definitely lead to more blogs and teaching opportunities (aka rants) for you. Also, since my duties will be somewhat less in this new role I’ll be able to blog and do things to contribute more often.
I’ll still be speaking at events and traveling. Although I’ll be traveling to Huntsville, AL a lot more and Washington DC a lot less. Sorry DC folks… I’ll miss you guys.. but not the traffic… or the long commute… or the weather… or the politics… or the metro.. or the traffic.. or the drivers… or the beltway… the food was pretty good though.
Anyway! I hope to be able to really take my SharePoint technical expertise to the next level with Summit 7 Systems and start to fill a lot of those gaps I have and also help take Summit 7 to the next… well… summit…
Don’t be surprised if you see my putting my IT Pro hat back on at some point… if I can find it…
Regardless, I’m very excited about this new chapter in my life and look forward to a rewarding and long term relationship as Summit 7 Systems and I help you “Conquer Your Mountain”.
